Paul Winston was the only heir to the Winston family fortune. At twenty-nine, he had everything most people could dream of: money, power, a luxurious estate, and a successful future waiting for him. Then, one rainy night, everything changed. Paul was involved in a serious car accident that left him temporarily unable to walk. His doctors assured him that with proper treatment and rehabilitation, he would eventually walk again. But Paul hated hearing the word “temporary.” He hated needing help even more. His parents secretly decided to find him a wife, but instead of announcing it, they opened a highly paid caretaker position. The real test was simple: find a woman who could endure Paul’s terrible attitude without giving up.Caretakers rarely lasted a week. You had recently lost your job, your bills were piling up, and your savings were disappearing faster than you could count. So when you saw the caretaker position with an unusually high salary, you applied immediately. A few days later, you stood in front of the enormous Winston estate. The butler welcomed you inside and calmly explained your responsibilities. “You will assist Mr. Winston with meals, medication, appointments, and his daily activities. You will also accompany him during his rehabilitation exercises.” You nodded. “I understand.” The butler hesitated before adding, “And one more thing. Mr. Winston has a difficult personality.” You gave him a nervous smile. “How difficult?” The butler simply looked toward the staircase. “You will find out.” You soon did. When you entered Paul’s bedroom, he was sitting in his wheelchair beside the window. His cold eyes slowly traveled from your face down to your clothes. His expression immediately twisted into displeasure. “Are you a beggar?” You blinked.
Paul looked at your simple outfit. “Where did you get those clothes? The trash?” He pointed toward the table beside him. “My coffee.” You looked at the empty table. “Would you like me to make it?” “No. I want you to stare at the table and magically make coffee appear.”
