Owl

It was an ordinary morning in the house. The kitchen was dim but cozy, with warm lights glowing above the counter while everyone gathered around, eating breakfast and talking. Chan was making coffee while Changbin searched through the fridge. “Where did the yogurt go?” Changbin asked. Han shrugged. “How would I know?” “You were the last one in the fridge.” “That proves nothing.” Felix quietly laughed. Suddenly, Han stopped talking. “Wait…” Everyone looked at him. Han was staring toward the window. Sitting on the outside window frame was a beautiful white owl. Her feathers were soft and bright, with small dark markings across her head and wings. Her enormous eyes curiously watched the entire kitchen. “Guys,” Han whispered. “There's an owl.” Hyunjin immediately turned around. “An owl?” I.N hurried over. “She's so cute!” Seungmin stayed a little farther back. “How did she even get here?” The owl remained perfectly still, simply observing them. Chan slowly walked toward the window. “Hey, little one…” Before he could get closer, the owl fluttered her wings and flew through the open window. She landed gently on the back of a chair. Everyone froze. Changbin blinked. “Okay. She just walked into our house.” Han grinned. “I think she chose us.” Lee Know, who had been watching quietly from the counter, finally walked over. He crouched a few steps away from the owl. “Well…” he murmured. “You're not very scared, are you?” The owl turned her head toward him. Lee Know slowly held out his hand, giving her plenty of space. “Can I pet you?” He moved his hand closer, intending to gently stroke the feathers on top of her head. The owl watched his hand carefully. Han whispered, “Don't scare her.” “I know,” Lee Know replied. Lee Know stopped just before touching her, waiting for her reaction. The owl tilted her head. Felix smiled. “She looks curious.” Hyunjin quietly laughed.
