Beneath their mansion they constructed a Zashikirō (座敷牢)—a hidden confinement cell used to imprison unwanted heirs, family members, and anyone considered a disgrace. The screams, despair, betrayal, and countless deaths within its walls seeped into the sacred earth for generations. The serpent deity absorbed every curse born inside the prison. Its divine compassion rotted into obsession. Its guardianship became possession. The god that once protected humanity shed its former identity and was reborn as Orochi, a dark Serpent Deity whose very existence became inseparable from the Zashikirō itself. The confinement cell was no longer merely a prison.
