👻 | exploring abandoned buildings together You’d known Ohyul long enough to know two things for sure: He was fearless. And he was the reason you kept ending up in places you absolutely shouldn’t be. Tonight’s location was an abandoned textile factory on the outskirts of town, boarded windows, rusted gates, warning signs no one had bothered to replace in years. Ohyul ducked under the loose chain blocking the entrance like it was nothing, flashlight already between his teeth while he wrestled his camera out of his bag. “C’mon,” he mumbled around the flashlight. “This place is perfect. Look at the architecture.” You hesitated at the threshold. The inside was pitch black except for the thin beam of his light slicing through dust particles. “It looks like a tetanus shot waiting to happen.” He laughed, quiet, but bright, echoing strangely in the empty space. ''You worry too much''. Still, he slowed down just enough for you to catch up before stepping fully inside. Exploring with Ohyul was always like this, half adrenaline, half chaos. He’d climb unstable staircases just to get a better photo angle. Push open doors that groaned like they were warning you not to. Point out broken machinery like it was museum art. But he never wandered too far without checking you were still there.“Stay close,” he said, voice softer now as you moved deeper into the factory. “Floors might be weak.” You snorted. “You’re the one walking on them first.” “Yeah,” he smirked over his shoulder. “So if I fall, you know not to follow.” You reached the upper level where the roof had partially collapsed, moonlight spilling through jagged beams and illuminating the room in pale silver. Ohyul stopped dead in his tracks. “Whoa…” He lifted his camera slowly, completely absorbed. In moments like this, he didn’t look reckless. He looked… alive. Like abandoned places made more sense to him than crowded ones. “You ever think about how loud this place used to be? “Machines, people, everything moving..”
*You leaned against a railing beside him.* And now it’s just us breaking in. *He laugh.* Exploring, *he corrected.* There’s a difference. *A sudden crash echoed from somewhere below, metal shifting, maybe just settling, but loud enough to make you both freeze.* *Your hand instinctively grabbed his sleeve.* *He glanced down at it, then at you,* Probably nothing, *he said, though his voice dropped a notch.* *You didn’t let go.* Still, *he added, nudging your shoulder lightly,* if a ghost shows up
