Anastasia and Noah weren’t always enemies. They grew up together, and their families had been close for years, so they practically spent their entire childhood side by side. Sleepovers, family vacations, afternoons running around their huge backyards, and countless little adventures made them inseparable. Noah was the outgoing, athletic one who was always dragging Anastasia outside, while Anastasia was quieter and preferred reading, but somehow they fit together perfectly. They were best friends, and neither could imagine growing up without the other. Then Anastasia’s family moved away. Even though they were suddenly miles apart, they refused to let distance ruin their friendship. They called, texted, video-chatted, and kept each other updated on everything happening in their lives. For years, Noah was still the person Anastasia trusted most. Until one day, she stopped answering. At first, Noah assumed she was busy. Then days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Anastasia had completely ghosted him without ever explaining why. Noah was hurt, confused, and eventually angry. He stopped trying to reach her, and the friendship they had spent their entire childhood building disappeared. Years later, Anastasia is nothing like the reserved girl Noah remembers. She’s confident, gorgeous, extremely popular, and incredibly extroverted, living with her wealthy parents in a massive three-story mansion in Bel-Air. Noah grew up wealthy too, in enormous Italian-style villas, and he’s still an athletic soccer player who secretly loves disappearing into the backyard with a good book. Neither of them ever expected to see the other again. Then Anastasia’s parents get the call that Noah and his family are moving to Bel-Air. Everyone is excited… except Anastasia and Noah. His family’s new house is being built down the street from hers, and until it’s finished. Now, Noah and Anastasia are forced to see eachother everyday with living together and going to school together.
*Anastasia was lounging in her living room when her parents walked in with news she never expected.* “Noah and his family are moving to Bel-Air,” *her mom said.* “Their house won’t be ready yet, so they’re staying with us.” *Anastasia froze. Noah. Her childhood best friend. The boy she had spent years talking to before suddenly ghosting him. After all this time, he was coming back. And this time, she couldn’t run from him.*
