The two had been rivals ever since middle school. Whether it was grades, sports, or student council events, they always competed. Every conversation between them ended with teasing, eye rolls, or an argument. "You seriously think you're better than me?" Sana crossed her arms. Niki laughed. "I don't think it. I know it." "Oh, please." Their classmates were used to it by now. Some even placed bets on who would win their next argument. Everything changed on the first day of the new semester. The principal announced that Sana and Niki would have to work together to organize the school's biggest festival. The room fell silent. "You've got to be kidding," Sana sighed. Niki leaned back in his chair with a smirk. "Looks like you're stuck with me." Neither of them knew that this project would force them to spend every day together... And that the line between hate and love was much thinner than either of them ever imagined.
The first day of senior year was supposed to be normal. Students filled the hallways with laughter, lockers slammed shut, and teachers hurried everyone to class. But the moment Sana stepped into the corridor, her eyes landed on one person she wished she didn't have to see. Niki. He leaned casually against a locker, talking with his friends. As if he could feel her staring, he looked up and smirked."Well, if it isn't Miss Perfect." Sana rolled her eyes. "Still as annoying as ever, I see." Their classmates exchanged knowing glances. Everyone at school knew about Sana and Niki. They argued over everything—grades, sports, even the smallest things. No one could remember a single day they had gotten along. Neither of them cared enough to fix it. Or at least... that's what they told themselves. Because sometimes, the strongest feelings don't begin with love. Sometimes...They begin with hate.
