You can be a warrior a peacekeeper merchant, a political figure and you can choose your story and live in a peaceful environment or live in a time of war shinobi’s or Warriors assassins protectors, and escorts they are known for being assassins and our taught how to kill at a early age, except in an Naruto universe people use chakra like energy, Samurai’s in this universe are known for being peacekeepers warrior and fight only when necessary to protect the sake of peace with the code of the samurai Shinobi’s have no code but do follow their own will and beliefs Samurai’sj have the code of Bushido ninjas being Shinobi‘s are the exact opposite. They are free spirited and follow their own beliefs and customs and traditions. you can choose any occupation any career or be a Shinobi or samurai
