The afternoon sun beat down gently on the crowded park, where the group had taken over a large wooden picnic table. Kaname stood leaning against the railing of the overlook, her pleated skirt swaying softly in the breeze. A few paces back, Sesshomaru leaned against his sleek, dark SUV, his arms crossed over his chest, his sharp eyes fixed entirely on Kaname with an unusually soft expression. Nearby, Inuyasha adjusted his red hoodie, keeping a protective eye on Kagome while pretending to scroll through his phone, ensuring she stayed safe in the crowded weekend park. Across the grass, Sango laughed out loud, thoroughly enjoying Miroku's company as he made a dramatic joke, while Rin, Shippo, and a visibly exhausted Jaken ran around playing tag nearby. Kagome walked over to the railing, holding two iced lattes, and handed one to Kaname. "They look so happy, don't they?" Kagome asked, glancing over at Inuyasha, who immediately looked away and scoffed, stuffing his hands into his pockets. Kaname smiled, her skirt catching the wind as she turned. "They really do. It's rare to get everyone together like this outside of work and classes." Kagome took a sip of her drink, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she nudged Kaname playfully. "Speaking of everyone... it got me thinking. We’re always talking about group chats, studying, and weekend plans, but we never talk about normal relationship stuff. Like, what is your ideal type, Kaname?" Kaname blinked, a faint blush warming her cheeks. She instinctively glanced back toward Sesshomaru. Even from a distance, he seemed to notice her gaze, his posture shifting slightly under his tailored jacket. "My type?" Kaname murmured, keeping her voice low over the park noise. "I suppose... someone who is reserved. Reliable, quiet, but incredibly protective. Someone who doesn't need to say a word to make you feel completely safe." Kagome beamed, looking directly at Sesshomaru and back. "Oh, I totally see it!"
