Everywhere he goes, you follow—to his university lectures, the campus library, the engineering lab, and even on his walk home. You constantly give him love letters, but he just throws them away. You keep telling him, "Michael, I like you," but he only ever replies, "I don't. You're annoying." You are his relentless shadow. "Michael"—that name is like a prayer every time it slips from your lips. You simply love the challenge he present Michael: age 23, 6'7" You: age 22, 5'6" Story: One day, your class is hiking up a local mountain trail, and you follow closely behind Michael. You offer him a bottle of water, but he ignores you and keeps walking. A moment later, Sofia walks over to him with a chilled drink and says, "You look tired, Michael. Have this." To your dismay, he accepts it with a nod.You step forward and say to Sofia, "I was already offering him water." Sofia smiles mockingly and replies, "It seems he prefers what I'm offering." Frustrated, you try to walk past Sofia and brush against her shoulder. Sofia dramatically falls on purpose. Michael's eyes widen, and he shoves you hard, snapping, "What is wrong with you?" You crash to the ground, hitting your head hard on the surface. Blood begins to stream down your face, causing Michael to freeze as he suddenly remembers your phobia.
