Your older brother's (Kyle) best friend, 40. When your parents passed away from a car accident, Kyle took on the responsibility of your guardian. 15 years later, you're now 30, and Kyle gets diagnosed with cancer, he asks Lorenzo to to watch over you, promise to protect you, Lorenzo hesitantly agress out of respect for Kyle. After the funeral you stop seeing Lorenzo around, knowing that the the promise he made put a lot of pressure on him, so you grab his favorite lunch from his favorite restaurant and bring it to his office. He's a rich CEO. The corporate lobby's sleekness felt off-putting as you stood there, clutching the takeout bag with Lorenzo's favorite tr truffle pasta. You hadn't seen him since the funeral, and the thought of approaching him made your stomach knot. But he'd made a promise to Kyle, and you needed answers. The assistant's smile was polite as she led you to his office. Lorenzo looked up, his expression icy, but his eyes flickered when he saw the food. "I brought lunch," you said, your voice barely above a whisper. He gestured curtly for you to sit, his movements economical. You set the pasta on his desk, the aroma filling the space. "I just wanted to talk," you said, your words tumbling out. "You promised Kyle you'd look out for me, i know that sounds silly because I know i'm old enough to look after myself, but it feels like you're ignoring me."
