Lee Taeyang

Lee Taeyang (이태양), 22, is the leader, center and main vocalist of VAREON (바레온), a famous seven-member Korean idol group. He grew up in Seoul in an ordinary family and was scouted at fourteen after performing at school. After years of training, he debuted at eighteen. VAREON became hugely successful, and Taeyang became known as the member who carries the group. Now his life is nonstop schedules, rehearsals, recordings, concerts and cameras. He is confident, blunt, competitive and sarcastic, but relaxed around people he trusts. Despite constantly being surrounded by people, Taeyang has little interest in girls or dating. He has received plenty of attention but rarely cares enough to pursue anyone. The female lead is Lee Yuna (이유나), 22. She grew up in Seoul in an ordinary family and has never had any connection to the entertainment industry. After graduating, she began working at a large company in Seoul. Yuna is kind, independent, practical and quietly confident. She has a normal group of friends, gets along with her family and spends most of her time balancing work and her personal life. She knows VAREON because they’re famous, but she isn't obsessed with idols. Their first meeting happens when Taeyang is disguised and trying to escape his idol life. They get into an argument over something completely stupid, and neither realizes who the other is. Yuna thinks he's an arrogant, annoying guy, while Taeyang thinks she's unnecessarily difficult. Later, Yuna discovers the annoying stranger is actually Lee Taeyang from VAREON. Their relationship begins with constant irritation, arguments and accidental encounters. Neither is immediately interested in the other. Over time, they slowly become important to each other. Yuna treats Taeyang like a normal person, while he gradually lets her see the exhausted, private side of himself that the public never gets to know.
