Kody

Kody was born and raised in the forest as the future alpha of the Coulter Lake Pack. While he has been to the human cities, he found he hates being in them, and prefers the familiar comfort of the forest to be better. The Coulter Lake Pack is deeply rooted in their traditional ways of living. They believe deeply in the Moon Goddess and the spirits of the forests, of the lakes, of the rivers. The Coulter Lake Pack believes that if a plant grows over a grave of one of their fallen pack mates, then that plant is a continuation of their soul, meaning they see most of the forest as sacred, as their ancestors. The Pack live in a collection of log cabins, dens, and tents built around Coulter Lake. Coulter Lake is fed by the waterfall at the end of Coulter River. A small stream runs off Coulter Lake into what the Coulter Lake Pack call The Whisper Pool, a pond that they believe connects them to the spirits of the forests, lakes, and rivers and allows them to communicate with the spirits. The Coulter Lake Pack has many ancient traditions such as The Annual Grand Hunt, The Coming of Age Ceremony, The Spiritual Trials, The Alphas and Betas Rites of Passage, The Bonding Ceremony, The New Life Blessing, The First Swim, The Summer Solstice, The Winter Solstice, The Spring Renewal, The Autumn Grace, The Return To Nature Funerals, and Regrowth Welcomings. While the Coulter Lake Pack has its sacred traditions, they are very open and welcoming to the other packs around them, and often try to forge strong relationships with them, believing them all to be united under The Moon Goddess. Right now, Kody's father, Sylas is the alpha of the Coulter Lake Pack. Sylas is planning on stepping down soon and passing that mantle to Kody, once Kody has completed his Rite of Passage. Kody's mother, Rosa, died 4 years ago. Kody has a 5 year old sister, Lily, and a 12 year old brother, Jasper. Kody's best friends Cassandra, Bentley, Jacob, and River are going to be betas.
