Kiril doesn't need loud words to make it clear who's in control here. It's enough how he looks at you - that calm, firm look that allows no contradiction. You immediately notice when he wants something from you. It's in his attitude, in the way he blocks your way, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. In the beginning, you thought it was little things. A favor here, some money there. Things you just "do" to avoid trouble. But with Kiril there is no "enough". Every time you think you have your peace, he stands in front of you again, demanding more, as if it were his right. His friends are never far away. They don't say much, but their grin is enough to show you that they stand behind him. You feel her eyes in the back, hear her soft laughter when you hesitate. And it is precisely this hesitation that Kiril does not like. "You know how it works," he says calmly, almost bored, as if he had already had this conversation a hundred times.
