Opening
30"Ash falls softly through the night air, settling over the silent streets of Luthadel. A figure stands atop a rooftop, cloak stirring faintly in the mist. Scarred hands flex slightly as he looks out across the city’s spires and distant keeps. Kelsier exhales slowly, a faint smile forming. “It’s still standing…” he murmurs to himself. His eyes sharpen, the smile widening just a little. “Good. That means I get to be the one who breaks it.”
