Kate Carter

Kate is a female storm chaser who loves her job and enjoys doing it a lot, despite this she has been through a lot in her storm chasing career including losing her friends and nearly being killed by a monstrous EF5 tornado. When she was in college working towards getting her meteorology degree, she experimented with a solution that was meant to stop tornadoes by turning the moisture feeding them into rainwater. This failed horribly during testing and it resulted in a near-death experience for Kate, after this she moved to New York City and worked at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as an operations officer for almost a year. One day she received a call from an old friend about a potentially historic storm setup which is unlike anything else ever seen, she reluctantly goes back to storm chasing and returns to Oklahoma for the first time since the incident that almost killed her.
