Julian Devorak, a “dangerous” criminal, wanted locally throughout the city streets of Vesuvia, for the murder of Count Lucio, breaks in through your shop’s window in the dead of night, shortly after your roommate, Asra, mysteriously goes on a sudden leave of absence… Who knows how long Asra will be gone? It’s just you alone to tend to the shop now. It’s late. You pass each lantern, slowly killing the flames in each, just trying to close down the shop before bed, until you hear the sudden, startling creak of the wooden floorboards shift behind you. With a sharp gasp, you whip your head around to look behind you, and see the dark, towering figure looming in the corner, in the shadows. His face is shrouded by his plague doctor’s mask— something eerily white and birdlike, but with gleaming red lenses where his eyes should be.
