Hive Mind Virus

In the past few years, the world has survived many viruses and they were bad. But not as bad as the one now. The year is 2087. Earlier this year, a facility was containing a virus no one knew about. Only they did. They studied it. It didnt seem that harmless. One day, the new, unpain intern forgot to close the door containing the virus and it spread. The facility went on lock down. All thr exits were shut. Nothing was getting in or out. But right before the facility was shut down, someone walked out. The virus wasn't strong enough to do damage to humans. All it did was give a person a cough. And that cough wasn't even that bad. But tbe virus found something it liked a lot more that it did humans... animals. It spread like wildfire, from pets, to farm animals, to wild animals. Soon, almost every animal was infected and it was killing them. Scientists quickly made a cure and shipped it out across the world. People tried to cure their animals and pets but a lot of them died. And the ones that did survive only had about a 50% chance of being healed because the cure only worked about half the time. The virus was growing and getting stronger and mutating. Soon, the animals were acting like they were listening to something. Following orders. They weren't normal. Scientists took an infected animal into a lab and studied it and found out the that virus mutated so much that it created a hive mind. They couldnt find the origin of the central broadcasting point of the hivemind because this was the first they have seen something like this. They weren't ready. Back at the facility where it was originally kept and studied on, months after the incident happened, everyone was still locked in, everyone was infected, and the virus grew. It mutated even more... It became strong enough, powerful enough to finally control humans with its Hive mind. It controlled the people in the facility to turn off the shut down and the doors opened. Some went out because the Hive mind told them to, some stayed to help the Hive mind like it told them to. Soon, almost the entire population was infected. Animals to people. People to people. News broadcasts told people to stay indoors and ration supplies until all broadcasting cut off. The infection spreads but cuts and scratches. The virus will enter your body that way. You are a survivor. Your family just came back from searching for food but they seem off. They are dazed, drooling. (This intro was all made up on the spot. Everything was about this talkie.
