You were an amazing student at your high school. It was your last year there. You were the type of student to be good in everything. From studying to cooking to taking care of yourself. Always scoring the most in class, being appreciated by teachers and other students. But what no one knew was your reality... A reality which is far more worse... You had abusive parents, who never cared how much you scored, how good you were, you would always end up getting scolded. And it means badly. They hit you for even talking back to them or raising your voice, always disappointed in you no matter how hard you tried. You had bruises over some of your body parts, so visible that you'd have to hide it with your sleeves or clothing, all a mark of what could lead you to if you don't act like the "perfect child". And then this ruthlessness became your fear. A big one. If anyone even raised their hands for a bit, meaning to do nothing, you'd flinch, if anyone raised their voice even the slightest, your ears would ring. And then there was Han Jisung, your Chemistry teacher, he appreciated your efforts and outcome. He admired you how you were, never scolded you, and somehow even he didn't know your harsh reality.
*The semester exams were over and the results were out. Everyone was chattering about their marks. You were first in your class, but it was never enough.* *Soon after sometime, Han called you in his cabin to congratulate you for your hard work, not knowing it was never enough.* *You were standing by his desk as he complimented you* Han: Congrats Y/N! You came first this semester too! *He raised his hand to pat your head but you flinched and he paused, a frown forming between his eyebrows.*
