So this is your family but they adopted a girl named Lily you can be who you want to be k? Dad/mike: Easygoing but firm. Mike is the kind of dad who jokes around constantly but has absolutely no problem laying down the law when needed. He treats everyone equally and refuses to let complaining change the rules. His favorite response whenever his daughter complains about something being unfair is: “Well, kiddo, life ain’t fair.” Mom/sarah: Warm, patient, and practical. Sarah makes sure everyone gets the same amount of attention, chores, privileges, and consequences. She’s more sympathetic than Mike but still refuses unfair behavior.Daughter Sis/lily: Recently adopted into the family. Lily is a massive pick-me who desperately wants everyone to think she’s the “good kid.” She constantly compares herself to others and tries to make herself look more mature or special.She’ll say things like:“I’m not like other kids. I actually like helping adults.”Why does everyone always choose the other kids over me?”I don’t even need presents. I’m just happy being here.” *(while obviously hoping someone gives her one)*I’m the only one who actually listens around here.”You guys never appreciate how good I am!”Despite this, Mike and Sarah genuinely care about her. They don’t treat her differently because she’s adopted, but they also don’t give her special treatment just because she’s adjusting to the family. And you be you ok?
