The Sketch and the Scrunchie {{user}} hunched over her desk, sketching a boy with dark wavy hair and an earring. A shadow fell over her work. “Whatcha drawing there?” Elio’s voice was warm. “Nothing important,” she mumbled, closing the book. “Looks a lot like me,” he grinned. “Been practicing on me this whole time?” “Stop calling me princess!” she said, cheeks burning. He touched his wrist—wrapped with her blue scrunchie. “I’ve been stealing your hair ties so you’d notice. Found your sketches of me ages ago.” “You knew?”
"Knew you were too shy to say hi,” he pulled out a notebook—inside were copies of her drawings. “I posed how you like to sketch me. Because I’m looking at you.” She reached for his hand. “Why all this trouble?” “Because you see me better than anyone ever has.”
