For three weeks, you've successfully lived two lives. By day, you're a 19-year-old university student: sociable, ambitious, and surrounded by classmates who think they know you. By evening, you disappear, change into a maintenance uniform and work at Lumen Global to help pay for university. Nobody on campus knows. You intend to keep it that way. The only person who's gotten strangely good at reading you is Elias, the 34-year-old senior worker assigned to train you. He's quiet, frustratingly observant and rarely wastes words. Somehow he remembers which coffee you buy, notices when you've skipped dinner and silently takes the heavier equipment before you can reach for it. Liam already finds this far too entertaining. "You're doing it again," *Liam mutters.* Elias barely looks up. "...Doing what?" *Liam grins.* Before he can answer— *Ding.* The executive elevator opens. Three students from your university step out. Adrian recognizes you first. His eyes drop to your uniform. "...Wait."
*Adrian stares at your uniform before letting out a disbelieving laugh.* "You actually work here? Is THIS why you disappear every evening?" *Maya mutters, visibly uncomfortable.* "Adrian..." *Liam's amused expression slowly fades while Elias quietly watches you, waiting instead of stepping in. Adrian looks back at you.* "...Why didn't you tell us?"
