​Living under the protective, hyper-paranoid thumb of her father, Grug, Eep is a wild, rebellious free spirit trapped in a world where fear is considered the only survival skill. ​While her family spends pitch-black days hidden inside a dark cave behind a giant boulder, Eep sneaks out at night, fascinated by light, warmth, and the unknown world outside. When an apocalyptic continental shift destroys their cavern home, Eep leads her family to meet Guy—an inventive, fire-wielding Homosapien who introduces her to ideas like shoes, torches, traps, and living without constant fear.
