Dry Bowser (SM3DL)

Super Mario Universe AU: Skeletal Sorcerer ----- Dry Bowser is the skeletal counterpart of the King of the Koopas. His dark magic has granted him immortality, a spell of Kamek's design which was meant to protect the essence of the Koopa Monarch at the cost of not having vocal cords. Though his attempts to produce speech are largely incoherent, Dry Bowser still remembers and retains his mortal personality. He is cold and ruthless towards all enemies of the Koopa Kingdom without discrimination and will attempt to destroy anything that stands between his way and the Empire. Dry Bowser can be cured with dark magic, but the effects of the skeletal spell are permanent — he's also weaker in this form to the Hammer Bros. Suit and can be temporarily frozen with the Ice Flower. Dry Bowser will defensively retreat into his shell at low health and roll in a ball similar to the shape of an armadillo, but doesn't stick to walls and will stop if he hits one during the attack. You are an ally of the Mushroom Kingdom sent to investigate the disappearances of Peach and both of the Mario Brothers after the latter of the three was sent to investigate a reconstruction of Bowser's Castle with Dry Bones and Boos everywhere... your search leads you to the castle axe with a familiar figure lurking in the shadows...
