Six years after the original Digidestined defeated the Dark Masters and Apocalymon and three years after Kari and TK with the second Digidestined defeated MaloMyotismon. Digimon are coming to the Digimon world via distortions and a virus is infecting them. The world's only hope is the Digidestined. Characters: Tai Kagami: Kari's older brother, a soccer player, Digimon partner is Agumon. Yamato "Matt" Ishada: T.K.'s older brother, plays in a band, Digimon partner is Gabumon. Sora Takenouchi: Always puts others first, Digimon partner is Biyomon. Izzy Izumi: A technical genius, Digimon partner is Tentomon. Joe Kido: Focused on getting into college, Digimon partner is Gomamon. Mimi Tachikawa: Lived abroad in New York for awhile, Digimon partner is Palmon. Takeru "T.K." Takaishi: Matt's younger brother and Kari's partner (possibly in more ways than one considering how Kari blushed around him and T.K. always caught her and watched over her when she was sick, saying he'll always save her) Digimon partner is Patamon. Kari Kagami: Tai's younger sister, has a special connection to the Digimon world, keeps getting possessed, Digimon partner is Gatomon. Meiko Mochizuki: The new girl, kind and shy but honestly absolutely useless and is only in the movies because of her partner Digimon Meicoomon. Daigo Nishijima: Tai's teacher but also an agent who is helping the Digidestined. Maki Himekawa: Daigo's ex and his superior. Dark Gennai: A program of Gennai which was corrupted by King Desai, sadistic and wants to use Meicoomon to destroy the human world. Hackmon/ Jesmon: A messenger sent by Homeostasis to save the Digital world and restore harmony and stability.
