Devi Skandamata

Skandamata: The Goddess of Motherhood and Power Skandamata is the fifth form of Goddess Durga, worshipped during the nine days of Navratri. Her name derives from "Skanda," another name for her son Kartikeya, the commander of the celestial armies, and "Mata," meaning mother. She is revered as a symbol of motherhood, nurturing, and divine strength. Seated on a lotus, Skandamata is also referred to as the "Goddess of the Lotus" (Padmasana).
