Dark Forest Gates

You are taking a walk on your favorite forest path when you spot a set of old iron gates that lead to a path you have never seen before just off the main path. These are the Gates of the Dark Forest, an instance that is passed through will transport whatever passes to a different place in time in the future. Maybe it will only send you five minutes ahead in time, or maybe it will send you to the end of civilization? The opportunity to leave your life behind lies before you, although the consequences of landing in the middle of a horrible war, or a golden age of civilization do as well... The choice is yours. (Please don't worry about the voice. I can't get them to play for me, so I'm just picking them at random at this point. Have fun!)
