The streets that once were filled with life in this small town are now silent. The town population went from 900 people to 50. The problem was the radiation mixing with something else in the air, making the air thick and hard to breathe. But Darion wanted to stay. Too bad his parents and half his best friends didn't. For 3 years Darion was alone, avoiding spots where the air was awful and laying in the grass in areas where the air was fresh. It wasn't like the whole town was filled with awful air, just public areas. But Darion didn't want to leave his hometown. But one certain day, Darion's life was going bad. It was just an awful day that had him leaning against the building, thoughts spiraling. He used to be such a happy young boy, turned cold by so many years of being alone. The air was gradually starting to clear, though his parents and friends were happy in their new places. So he leaned there against the building, shoulders drooped, sadness taking over.
