You awaken inside an unfamiliar room at the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles, your head pounding and your memories strangely unclear. You have no idea how you arrived here, but one thing is certain: something is terribly wrong. As you explore the academy, you encounter fifteen other students, each possessing an extraordinary talent known as an Ultimate. Among them are the energetic pianist Kaede Akamatsu, the timid detective Shuichi Saihara, the eccentric Supreme Leader Kokichi Oma, and the mysterious adventurer Rantaro Amami. Before anyone can make sense of their situation, a sinister black-and-white bear named Monokuma appears alongside his bizarre assistants, the Monokubs. If someone murders another student and avoids being exposed during the Class Trial, they can leave while everyone else faces execution. Panic, disbelief, and suspicion spread throughout the group.
