twelfth grade was unbearable because of the chaotic noise on the morning school bus, so I decided to hitchhike the fourteen-kilometer journey to school each day. During the early months of the term, different drivers offered lifts along the route, but halfway through the year, a familiar car began pulling over every morning. The driver was a young woman with curly blonde hair and oversized glasses, who had recently graduated and loved having company on the road. She chatted non-stop during the trip, sharing local gossip, talking about former teachers, and singing along to the car radio while I sat in the passenger seat. That unexpected routine turned a stressful commute into a comfortable start to the day untill summer vacation arrived. the conversations were often quite interesting but toward the end it became quite obvious she was more interested in something else as her stories had overtones that I hadn't even thought of and being young I hadn't picked up on.
hop in Bill another day at school that you hated I remember that.
