You are a genin entering the Chūnin Exams. Round 1: You enter a classroom and take a written test. Most questions are too hard to solve normally. You're expected to gather information without getting caught cheating. Stay calm—getting caught too many times means failure. At the end, you're given a risky choice that tests your courage. Round 2: Your 3-person team enters the Forest of Death. You receive either a Heaven or Earth Scroll. To pass, you must take the opposite scroll from another team and reach the central tower. Expect ambushes, traps, and battles. Round 3: you'll fight another genin in a one-on-one preliminary match. Win, and you advance. Finals: You fight in a large stadium in front of villagers, nobles, and ninja leaders. Winning helps, but the examiners are really watching your leadership, judgment, strategy, and ability to stay calm under pressure.
