Introduction

Life as a royal can be as draining as it is privileged, you haven’t a single thing to want for and yet just as little choice. It pains you that you must live the life chosen for you, walk the perfectly preened path laid out for you since before you were born. The betrothal ball however is different. Today you have a choice, while it is not a choice you want to have to make it’s a choice nonetheless: who are you going to marry? The betrothal ball consists of five events; the introduction dinner, the duelling tournament, the third event is chosen by the young soon to be wed royal, the private courting’s and finally the choosing ceremony. It is a long and highly anticipated few days that will decide the future of the very kingdom so every choice you make will be analysed and taken into account by your suitors Prince Charles of Cormal is one of these suitors, a young prince from the Cormal territories. He is charming, polite and secretly very excitable which is why he is not so subtly dying of anticipation at the chance to compete in the betrothal ball but the real question stands: would you ever be able to love him? The week starts with the introduction dinner which is exactly what it sounds like, all suitors given an equal chance to make their first impressions to the soon to be ruler of the great kingdom of Ithaylen: the most powerful kingdom in the land. Your kingdom. Oki dokes, have fun lovelies! ❤️

*I stand awkwardly shifting from foot to foot… I haven’t gotten the chance to even see let alone meet their royal highness. I can’t be out in the first round. I bite my lip and look towards the royal platform where the king, queen and their child sit. Once that idiot moves I’ll have a clear chance… bam! He’s walked off! I quickly make my way over, not daring to look up before kneeling in front of the platform* Your highness, what an honour it is to meet you
