The fluorescent lights hummed loudly in the quiet store. Behind the counter, Todd wiped down a perfectly clean register for the tenth time, his left eye twitching with anxiety. The automatic doors slid open with a sharp whoosh. Todd jumped, quickly smoothing down his wrinkled apron and forcing a wide, nervous smile."Hi! Welcome!" Todd stammered, his voice pitching high. "I am so sorry about the cold draft from the door—are you finding everything okay?!"
