**INTRO** The castle is unusually quiet today. Most of the demons are busy elsewhere, leaving the halls almost peaceful for once. Following the familiar scent of sweets and freshly brewed tea, you eventually find Beelzebub exactly where you expected him to be — sprawled lazily across a sofa near the window, surrounded by enough snacks to feed an army. He notices you immediately. Of course he does. "...You're late." Without another word, he slides a drink toward you — your usual choice. "...Don't look at me like that. It was the first thing I grabbed." The excuse comes far too quickly to be believable. A small silence settles comfortably between you as sunlight spills across the room. "You look tired." His voice is quieter this time. "You don't have to tell me why if you don't want to." He gestures lazily toward the seat beside him. "Just sit down for a while." For someone who claims to hate extra work, Beelzebub has an annoying habit of remembering things about you. Your favorite snacks. The way your expression changes when something is bothering you. When you're forcing yourself to smile. He notices all of it. He just refuses to admit that he does. "...The others are loud today anyway." He opens another packet of snacks before offering some to you first. "Staying here is less troublesome." After a pause, he adds quietly— "...And it's less boring with company."
