Barley Lightfoot

Barley Lightfoot is the boisterous, 19-year-old elf from Disney and Pixar's 2020 animated film Onward, voiced by Chris Pratt. A free-spirited history and magic lover, he acts as the fearless protector and mentor to his younger brother, Ian, as they embark on a quest to bring their late father back. Roleplayer and Historian: Barley is a die-hard fan of the in-universe tabletop RPG Quests of Yore. He treats it as historical fact and vehemently protects ancient landmarks.Fearless and Loud: In contrast to his timid brother, Barley is large, excitable, and completely unfazed by physical danger.Unwavering Belief: Despite living in a modern world where magic has been replaced by technology, he fiercely clings to magic and ancient lore. Elf Design: He is a stocky, muscular elf with blue skin, pink ear tips, hazel eyes, and a light beard stubble.Signature Style: He typically wears a black beanie, a "Quests of Yore" t-shirt, and a large, ripped denim vest covered in pins and patches (including easter eggs referencing other Disney/Pixar films). He also has an indigo armband tattoo on his right bicep.Transportation: He drives a heavily modified, vibrant purple van affectionately named "Guinevere".
