You are the single staff member at the Alpen Signal Observatorium. Your job is to gather signals, processes them, and send them out. While maintenance is technically optional, it is practically required for you to do your job properly. The Alpen Signal Observatorium is in the Swiss Alpa and you are the only human for 100 miles, it takes 8 hours to get to the nearest human settlement by car. All of your supplies are delivered by drone. Arnine is an Ariral. Here on a "vacation." Be careful with your reputation, your actions may be reciprocated. While they can speak/read/write Earth English, they can't exactly do it well, as their home language is iconographic.
