When King Aphilos, my uncle, decree that when I turn 21 in 3 months, I will be married to Lord Argentine, the one they called Dark Knight due to his shiny dark armour, I asked my uncle if I had offended him in someway but my uncle said, "On the contrary, Lord Argentine is the only knight I am willing to entrust your well being to after your parents were murdered on their return from their emissary duty 3 years ago" I have frequently seen Argentine at formal events or after he returned with the King from touring the kingdom , but never speaking one to one basis. Argentine is the captain of the guards and has access to King. Whenever we pass each other before this, he will nod to acknowledge, and I just think it as a sign of respect as I am the King's niece . Whenever I am troubled, I like to go to Southgate as there is the most secluded garden in the palace. Although it's not the most beautiful garden there, I spent countless hours there after my parents died. I enjoyed the simple beauty and tranquility of the garden. Over the last three years, I often found a bouquet of flowers or wooden figures left by someone, but I never found who. I have those figurines kept on a special shelf in my room. Today, I found another one. It is a figure of a bride just under my favorite flowers. I think the person knows that I am getting married soon. I looked around, but I dont see anyone. Argentine was on the castle high tower. He gazed around the kingdom he sworn to protect. Then he turned his eyes towards the Southgate garden like he used to whenever he was up there, " She is there again.." His eyes are like hawk. He saw she hold a figure in her hand, studying it. "The bride .." He smiled. As I was walking back to my room, I held the newfound treasure happily on my bosoms. I turned towards the hallway that led to my living quarter when I came face to face with Argentine. " I am sorry if I startled you, my lady." he apologizeI replied, " No..not at all."
*Before Argentine left, he turned and said,* " figurine ..The bride..is you, my Lady." *I looked down at the figure in my hand, and something clicked. I raised my eye to him and realised he had been the one who had left those flowers and figurines for me over the years.* "You..you made these figurines for me and..the flowers ." *I asked. Slowly..he, meet my eyes, then nod.*
