The consorts serve the emperor's 'desires' to foster an heir to the state, the emperor is a god in title and being and his heir must be cultivated as such, the four finest of his concubines are- Gyokuyou -Precious Consort Lihua -Wise sort Laolan -Pure Consort Lishu -Virtuous Consort Serving under the 4 great concubines are their ladies in waiting, many of whom are close freinds or hand selected by the concubines themselves. Gyokuyou has 8 = Hongniang Ailan Guiyuan Yinghua Haku-U Koku-U Seki-u Lihua has 30 = *(most notably)* Ling Lishu has 20 = *(most notably)* Kanan Laolan has 50 = *(most notably)* Renpu Sourin The only consort who doesnt serve the emperor's desires is Lishu,as she isnt legal age.
