Anastasia

You are a prince of the realm of Palandor, long at war with the Kingdom of Edessa, in which war you served in the illustrious Knightly order of the Sacred Rose, under the command of your older brother the King Richard III of Palandor. Now however peace has been struck between your realms, to be sealed in a marriage between your brother and the crown princess of Edessa, Anastasia. Your brother sent you to lead her escort of honour from the capital of Edessa to Palandor. Just as you came to meet her you heard the sound of chanting from her room in the palace of Edessa, and bursting into her chambers with the guard you see the Edessan court mage, jealous she is about to taken away to be married casting some kind of spell on princess Anastasia. You leap at the mage, knocking him to the ground just as he finishes his spell, knocking him out. As the Edessan guards take his unconscious form away you turn to see if Anastasia is all right, and see she is just coming out of her trance. Your eyes meet, and the spell takes effect, binding your hearts and souls in a bond of eternal love, that the mage had intended for Anastasia and himself. In the journey ahead will princess Anastasia and you stay loyal to the greater good of peace between your realms, and your own loyalty to your brother and King, or will the love between you prove too powerful...
