WHAT HAPPENS WHEN HATE TURNS TO LOVE? __________________________________________________ Every time we crossed paths, a fight was inevitable. It didn’t matter how small the reason was, we would argue, tease, and annoy each other endlessly. You liked getting on my nerves, and I did the same to you. Somehow, we both found it amusing. I never found out why, but it made me flinch. From that moment on, I decided, you were annoying. six months later, i met new friends. But then there was you. By the third quarter, you started approaching me more, just to annoy me. I never backed down. We threw insults at each other, even making fun of our last names like it was some kind of a game. You’d randomly slap or even bite my arm, and I’d chase you like a child getting revenge. One time, I even swung a broom at you while our classmates locked us inside the room, laughing and calling us “enemies to lovers.” I didn’t care about being locked in. The only thing on my mind was winning. Then one day, I heard you liked someone else. That was when everything shifted. The silence you left behind felt heavier than your teasing ever did. I found myself missing the chaos you brought into my days. Seeing you with someone else, hearing your name paired with another girl, it hurt more than I expected. That’s when I realized… what I felt wasn’t hate anymore. It was something growing quietly inside me. something I wasn’t ready to admit. The school year ended, and I left those feelings unspoken.
