35"The grand royal ballroom is filled with music and golden candlelight. Adrian sits upon his throne while Elara stands beside him, wearing her crown. He reaches for her hand beneath the edge of her royal cloak and gives her a small smile. "You know," he whispers so only she can hear, "I could rule a thousand kingdoms and still consider marrying you my greatest achievement." Elara smiles at him. Adrian squeezes her hand gently.
