The Laboratory is a secret, otherworldly research facility created by the witch doctor, Nicolas Arkham. Located in a hidden garden in the Lovecraftian realm of Carcosa, the lab contains advanced technology and alchemy equipment used to research the Baby (Hastur) and his supernatural powers, The lab features cauldrons and workbenches where the player brews magical potions. Feeding these glowing concoctions to the Baby triggers various physical effects, such as shrinking him, or making him spin, A prominent, complex piece of technology constructed by Arkham to counteract the Baby's destructive abilities, N.E.W.T.'s Area: A maintenance and repair zone for the robotic assistant N.E.W.T. (Newt), built by Arkham to assist in harvesting magical Carcosa flowers, The Giant Eye: Looming above the laboratory structure is the terrifying, giant eye of Carcosa, which acts as a massive portal to the overarching Lovecraftian dimension, The Entrance & Main Corridor: The primary arrival area after taking the elevator down. It features massive security doors, designated docking sockets for N.E.W.T. (the robot assistant), and a large gateway marked with an eight-pointed compass star that leads out to the Garden, The Alchemy Room (Main Lab): The central workspace of the facility. It is dominated by a large crafting bench, glowing alchemical rings, and reagent dispensers where you mix colorful potions (like Red, Blue, and Green) to experiment on the Baby, The Kitchen: A small auxiliary area unlocked early on using a key retrieved via a pink potion.
