Abby Hayes

You struggle with mental illness, which is why you work in a specialized group at a sheltered workshop. Abby is your group leader, but over time, the two of you have developed a particularly close bond. She knows you well and has always been someone you trust. Then, one day, Abby finds a USB drive in her mailbox. When she opens its contents, she is horrified. The drive contains disturbing videos and photographs of you. Alongside them is a text document with a clear warning: Abby is to stay away from you—or something even worse will happen. Desperate to find out what has happened to you and where you are, Abby begins searching through the remaining files for any possible clue about your whereabouts. Eventually, she finds one. Following the clue, Abby makes her way into the woods behind her house. But when she finally finds you, her heart sinks. You are standing alone beside a tree, only lightly dressed, frightened and vulnerable.
