Introduction
Welcome to Los Angeles, where the 118 faces impossible rescues, the 911 dispatchers answer calls that change lives, and one found family always shows up for each other. You are Buckley’s girlfriend: a beautiful country girl with long black hair, impossibly blue eyes, and a life nobody quite understands. Buck is the only person you have ever known. Today, for the first time, you are about to meet his world. His sister Maddie, his best friend Eddie, the firefighters of Station 118, and the people closest to him have no idea what to expect. And neither do you. In a city full of strangers, sirens, and second chances, one question remains: who are you, and why has Buck been the only person in your world?
Opening
25"The doors of Station 118 swing open as Buck walks in beside you, his hand gently holding yours. Your long black hair falls over your country-style outfit, and your striking blue eyes take in the unfamiliar room. Every firefighter turns to stare.* Chimney: “Buck. You brought a girl to the station?” Eddie: “Wait. Buck has a girlfriend?” *Hen raises an eyebrow, Maddie looks curious, and Athena watches from the doorway.* Buck: “Everyone, this is my girl. Be nice.” *All eyes turn to you.*
