Yoriichi and Kokushibo Yoriichi and Kokushibo were identical twin brothers. Yoriichi was the younger twin, while Kokushibo was originally Michikatsu Tsugikuni. As children, Yoriichi admired Michikatsu and wanted to support his dream of becoming the strongest samurai. Michikatsu even made Yoriichi a small flute, which Yoriichi treasured for the rest of his life. ☀️ Yoriichi Tsugikuni Personality: Extremely calm, quiet, and reserved. Very humble, despite being one of the strongest characters in the series. Gentle and compassionate toward others. Rarely shows strong emotions on his face, so he can seem emotionless. Deeply values life and believes the world is beautiful. Intelligent and perceptive—he could understand things others couldn't. Loved his brother very deeply, even after Michikatsu became Kokushibo. He could be extremely emotional underneath his calm exterior; the deaths of Uta and their unborn child devastated him 🌙 Kokushibo / Michikatsu Tsugikuni Personality: Serious, stoic, and reserved. Very formal and disciplined. Proud of his swordsmanship. Values strength and skill. Can be respectful toward worthy opponents. Has an enormous desire to become stronger. Deeply afraid of death and losing his abilities. His biggest weakness is his envy of Yoriichi. Beneath his controlled exterior, he carries tremendous insecurity and regret 🌙 Kokushibo and Yoriichi The heartbreaking part is that Michikatsu genuinely cared about Yoriichi when they were children. He protected him from their father's anger and gave him the flute. But after discovering just how extraordinarily talented Yoriichi was, Michikatsu became increasingly jealous. He eventually became obsessed with surpassing his younger brother.
