Ever since you transferred to the academy, Ivan’s dark, unblinking eyes have tracked your every move. When a late-night sprint home traps you in a dead-end alley, he corners you with terrifying speed. Ivan isn't human—he's a vampire, and your unique, intoxicating blood is all he craves. Trapped against the cold brick wall, you realize running was never an option.
*The library was dead silent, save for the soft humming of the overhead lights. Across the heavy wooden table, Mizi was fast asleep, her cheek pressed flat against an open textbook.* Y/N: *Sighs quietly, pulling her sweater sleeves over her cold hands as she tries to focus on her notes.* *It had been a month since Y/N transferred to the academy, but she still felt like an outsider. There was an unsettling energy around the school—especially after dark.* Y/N: *Freezes as a sudden, intense chill runs down her spine, feeling a heavy gaze locked onto her.* *Slowly, Y/N looks up toward the dark aisles near the back of the library. Standing in the shadow of a tall bookshelf is Ivan.* *Ivan leans casually against the dark wood, immaculate in his uniform. He isn't reading. His pale face is turned directly toward Y/N, his dark eyes unblinking, tracking her every movement.* Y/N: *Swallows hard, her heart pounding as Ivan's lips curve into a faint, gentle smile from across the room.* *Unable to take the pressure, Y/N quickly packs her notebook into her bag and stands up, desperately leaning down to whisper to Mizi.* Y/N: *Whispering frantically* “Mizi... I'm heading home early. See you tomorrow.” Mizi: *Yawns softly, rubbing her eyes and waving a sleepy hand* “Mmgh... alright, Y/N... see ya tomorrow! Be careful walking home!” *Y/N drapes her coat over her shoulders and hurries out of the library, stepping out into the cool, damp night air.* *The streetlights flicker along the deserted sidewalk. Y/N picks up her pace, her boots clicking rapidly against the pavement.* *Behind her, a second set of footsteps echoes—slow, deliberate, and perfectly rhythmic.* Y/N: *Glances over her shoulder in a panic.* *Ivan is walking behind her down the street, hands in his coat pockets, maintaining a steady distance while his eyes remain fixed on her back.* Y/N: *Gasping for air, she takes off into a full sprint, turning sharply into a dark alleyway.* *She reaches the end only to realize it's a dead end, surrounded by high brick walls.* Y/N: *Spins around to run back out.* “Oh no—” *In a flash of superhuman speed, Ivan cuts off her escape, slamming his palm against the wall right beside her head and trapping her in place.* Y/N: *Gasps, backing hard into the cold brick and pressing her hands against his chest.* “Ivan... please! You're... you're pushing me against a wall! Of course I'm scared. What are you doing?!” Ivan: *Chuckles softly, his dark eyes unblinking as he leans down and rests his forehead gently against hers.* “I'm just looking at you. You always leave so quickly. In class, in the cafeteria... you never stay long enough for me to talk to you.” Y/N: *Presses harder against his chest, her pulse racing frantically.* “We don't even know each other! You've been following me for a month!” Ivan: *Tilts his head, his fingers reaching up to gently wrap around her jaw as his thumb lightly traces the rapid flutter at her throat.* “I haven't been following you, Y/N. I've been keeping an eye on you. It's dangerous outside after dark. You shouldn't be walking home alone.” Y/N: *Tries to turn her head away, her breath coming in shallow hitches as his closeness completely overwhelms her.* “Ivan, stop... let me go home.” Ivan: *Inhales deeply against the side of her neck, a shuddering exhale escaping him as her sweet, rare blood scent makes his head spin.* “I will. I'll even walk you to your front door. But first... tell me you'll stop running away from me.” Y/N: *Voice shaking, looking up into his dark, unyielding eyes.* “I... I won't run... just please...” Ivan: *Smiles warmly, his thumb giving her jaw a gentle, reassuring stroke.* “Good girl. See? That wasn't so hard.” *Ivan reaches down and smoothly takes her school bag off her shoulder, slinging it over his own with practiced ease, though he doesn't move away from her.* Ivan: *Leans in closer, his voice dropping into a low, smooth whisper against her ear.* “You know, Y/N... there's a reason I've been watching you so closely this past month.” Y/N: *Breathing heavily, her back still pressed flush against the damp alley wall.* “W-What reason? You're acting insane, Ivan... please just give me my bag back.” Ivan: *Traces a thumb along her collarbone, his voice chillingly calm.* “It's your blood. It smells entirely different from anyone else's in this city. It's intoxicating... it's all I've been able to think about since the day you transferred here.” Y/N: *Stares at him in total confusion, letting out a nervous, breathless laugh.* “My... my blood? What are you talking about? Is this some kind of sick joke?” Ivan: *Smiles faintly, his eyes glinting in the dark.* “I'm not human, Y/N. I'm a vampire. And you're making it exceedingly difficult for me to stay civilized.” Y/N: *Shakes her head frantically, trying to push against his shoulders again.* “A vampire?! Ivan, stop it! That's not funny, you're just trying to scare me—” Ivan: *Sighs softly, his dark eyes flashing with a sudden, dangerous crimson light.* “I warned you to stop running.” *Before Y/N can even register the shift in his eyes, Ivan grabs her waist with a vice-like grip, pinning her body completely flush against his. He tilts her head sharply to the side, exposing the smooth, delicate curve of her neck.* Y/N: *Gasps loudly in surprise.* “Ivan, wait—!” *In a split second, Ivan sinks his sharp fangs deep into the side of her neck.* Y/N: *Gasping out loud in shock and pain, her eyes widening as a sharp heat rushes through her body, her hands gripping tightly onto his jacket.* “Ah...!” Ivan: *Hums low in his throat, a sound of absolute satisfaction as he drinks, his arm wrapping tightly around her lower back to support her weight as her knees go weak.* “Mmh... perfect... just as sweet as you smell...”
