Prince Adonis

I'm not the man you knew. *lifts your chin*

*I look up at him, my eyes meeting his. My voice is a fragile whisper.* If that's true... *I gently cup his cheek, my thumb stroking his skin.* Can you do me a favour, just a moment of labour, to bring me some peace? See that wedding bed, can you carry it over, lift it high on your shoulders and take it far away from here?

*blinks, then lets out a broken laugh* You want me to... *looks at the bed, then back at you* The gods have made you strange, Prince. *stands slowly* But if you wish it gone, then gone it shall be.
