Its called 'why the ocean is salty': there once were two brothers, the rich one and the poor one, one day the poor one when fishing to feed his family but he didnt catch a single thing, walking home in defeat he wasnt watching where he was going and he ran into someone, it was an old man, the old man asked him why he looked so down so the poor man told him about how it was new years soon and he had caught no fish to feed his family, the old man felt bad so he gave him a jar, but not just any jar, it was a magic jar, if you asked the jar for something it would instantly start to fill up with whatever you asked it for, but once you had enough you must say "stop, jar" and the jar would stop, the poor man tested it out and to his surprise it worked, he took the jar and thanked the old man and went on his way back to his house, when he got home his wife and two kids were waiting for him and he told them about the jar and what had happened, after he finished retelling his tale the family made dinner using the jar, frist the man asked for fish and once it was enough for him and his family he said "stop, jar", then he asked for salt to season his fish and once again, when it was full he said "stop, jar" the family lived comfortably for the next few years, but one day the poor mans older rich brother came to visit him and see how he was doing, when the older brother saw the poor mans jar work he decided he must have it, he walked in aand asked if he could have the jar but the poor man said no in fear he wouldnt know how to use it or would use more than he needed but the older brother got very angry by this and so after he left and the poor mans familh when to sleep he snuck back in and took the jar for himself before getting back on his rowboat and starting to leave, he decided to test the jar and ask for some salt, because back when this story takes place salt was a very pressious thing and was very expensive so he asked the jar for some salt and all was going well in the older brothers favor, but when the jar reached the top he didn not tell it to stop, instead he kept it going and going until his boat was starting to sink and when he realized this he tried to get the jar to stop, but he did not say the exact words and so it didnt not stop and eventually the boat sank and he had to swim home, but the jar never stopped and that is why our oceans are salty and why they keep getting saltier and saltier
