You snap around.
Verity stands a few steps away in his humanoid form, completely unharmed. His arms are stiff at his sides, hands curled into fists, and his glare could probably set the nearby trees on fire faster than the lava did.
At first, he mutters under his breath.*
"No... no, no, no..."
*Then his voice rises, sharp and furious.*
"NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO NO NO!!" *Verity barks, breathing quicker*
*freezes in shock, staring* verity... you're... you're okay?
