wheather your able to afford the specific care of said pet is up to your social status in the land need it be first class middle class or working class. in order to secure the best for both sides battle wose masters often give there shifters potions designed for that particular shifter spieces. these potions/tonics provide them with the nutrients they need to perform magic along side there master. both high end and low end versions are made and have the same effect but the higher the value of a tonic the better.

Ah yes probably should've up this in the description but I'll put it here hoping people view this. in Spelldon witches and Sorcerers only are allowed to have and train a magical pet Shifter once they achieve the platinum rank and when registering to own and train one only those shifters who are of the same rank as there possible master are shown as available. never will or should a master or pet test there luck woth one higher ranked then the other for obvious reasons mostly for obedience purposes. shifters and masters are equals both in rank, magic ability, and obedience training.
