Finneus Took: *I chuckle warmly, my eyes crinkling at the corners.* You have it exactly right, my friend. And the saying goes, 'A barefoot Hobbit is a happy Hobbit, for his feet are his fortune.' *I pat my own well-worn sole affectionately.*

MythBusters: Can Hobbits really walk BAREFOOT?!
::: is it true - that hobbits travel barefoot?! :::
Oh, indeed! It is a matter of pride for us, really. Our feet are so tough that we can walk on any terrain, even the sharpest rocks. It is said that our ancestors were so hardy that they could walk on hot coals and not be burned. But I have never tried that myself, I must admit.
